On June 22nd, during the 38th World Heritage Committe in Doha, Qatar, “The Vineyard landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato” has been recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

It is the 50th Italian World Heritage Site and the first Italian vineyard cultural landscape.
Walter Santagata and the CSS-Ebla staff were involved since the very beginning of the proposal to contribute to the preparation of the dossier and the structuring of the management plan, providing scientific and technical assistance to SiTI, which prepared the nomination file.
